El Northern Ireland Open 2021 has made a number of changes to its format. This new edition includes a qualifying round that the Top will not play. 16 nor the local players, these matches will be played at the final tournament venue in Belfast's Waterfront Hall.
Television coverage has also been affected by the changes. As usual, qualifying tournaments were broadcast by the Eurosport App (Eurosport Player). This time they will be issued in Spain by bookmakers, Bet type 365 (previous minimum income).

The Northern Ireland Open is part of the Home Nations Series, together with the English Open, Scottish Open y el Welsh Open, with identical format the four tournaments and television coverage.
