Eleven maximum breaks have been made at the Crucible Theater and seven players (Cliff Thorburn, Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, Allister Carter y John Higgins) are chosen to enter the history of ONE FOUR SEVEN at the Crucible Theater.

The first maximum break at the Crucible Theater, Canadian Cliff Thorburn did it, in front of the Welsh player, Terry Griffiths, in the world championship of 1983.

We had to wait nine years, to live the moment most desired by all fans. Jimmy White, has the honor of being the second player to achieve this feat at the Crucible Theater. His rival Maltese player Tony Drago. Drago had just conceded the last maximum break at the hands of the Thai player James Wattana, only player in history to receive two 147 consecutively.

Curiously White is the protagonist of the third maximum break, in this case, he received it, in 1995 at the hands of the Scotsman Stephen Hendry. Hendry achieved the only maximum break with a single table (semifinals) in the arena of the Crucible Theater.

In 1997 we live the next maximum break at the Crucible Theater, break that needs no introduction. Ronnie O'Sullivan reached the maximum of the maximums, stopping the stopwatch at 5 minutes and 20 seconds (the fastest in history), to the delight of the public in the arena of the Crucible, together with his rival, the Englishman Mick Price, that as you can see in the subsequent videos of the ONE FOUR SEVEN TEATRO CRUCIBLE, he had a look of astonishment.

Ronnie O'Sullivan repeated maximum break in 2003, against the Hong Kong player, Marco Fu. O’Sullivan, despite achieving his second maximum break at the Crucible Theater, ended up losing his first round match.

Mark Williams was in charge of achieving the sixth maximum break in the year 2005. Williams achieved the feat to close his match (eleventh) first round with Englishman Robert Milkins.

Ronnie O’Sullivan, I was making history again, achieving the eighth ONE FOUR SEVEN at the Crucible Theater, his third maximum break in particular. Ronnie emulated the Welsh player, Mark Williams, achieving the feat to close the match in the quarterfinals at Williams himself.

Allister Carter, entered the history of the Crucible Theater through the front door. Captain Carter achieved the ninth ONE FOUR SEVEN in the theater of dreams and his first maximum in particular. Carter y O’Sullivan, they had to share the 147.000 pounds of the prize for getting the desired 147.

Note that Allister and Ronnie, they played the final of the World Championship 2008, with victory of the latter.

History had two gifts in store for Scottish Stephen Hendry and fans of this beautiful sport, called snooker.

Stephen Hendry, has achieved the last two (2009 Y 2012) highs made at the Crucible Theater. The penultimate was achieved in his quarter-final match with the English, Shaun Murphy. Murphy despite 147, ended up defeating Hendry by 13-11 and being defeated in the final of the tournament by the Scotsman John Higgins.

As if it were a movie, Stephen Hendry, announced his retirement (jug of cold water in the middle of the World Championship 2012) of the professional circuit. Hendry kept the last pearl for us on a Snooker table with a ONE FOUR SEVEN at the Crucible Theater. The ovation was scandalous with the joy of his rival, English, Stuart Bingham. Hendry managed to win the first round match, to the aforementioned Bingham. His last game at the Crucible Theater, it was a quarter-final with his compatriot Stephen Maguire, with victory of the latter by 13-4.
